Artist Statement:
"There’s a woman called Maria on Youtube who helps me fall asleep when I am too restless to shut my eyes. She cooks me dinner, brushes my hair, and shows me her collection of gemstones. She whispers, plastic taps, nail polishes, and does tutorials. After a few years, she has become like an old friend.

floating world (version 2)  is the result of wanting to lay in bed and watch asmr videos without accidentally dropping my phone on my face. It is designed so that users can lay on their back and watch videos and fall asleep soundly. Additionally, upon waking, users know exactly where their phone is located."

thoughts on art/ tech:
"I hope for a more imaginative future. I can purchase a miniature 3D printed Eames chair, but how can I feel and inhabit the chair without ever touching it? The boundary between sensation and touch within technology and art is what I am most excited about. What objects, however rudimentary, can we create to facilitate and enhance an experience? I’m interested in how artists can accessorize and be in conversation with mass produced products."
